Having made significant improvements during a journey of positive change, the last 18 months have seen RBWM appoint key Senior Finance Leaders within the Council, which has led to substantial advances to both their governance arrangements and financial resilience.

The recent restructure of the Finance Team is the latest stage in their development plan, and will build capacity and further resilience into the team. As part of this we are recruiting 4 roles, including the Business Partner (Adult Social Care & Health). Reporting in to the Senior Business Partner, the Business Partner will need to embed themselves in the service to better understand the challenges and opportunities, creating initiatives to financially benefit the Council and becoming proactive and trusted financial adviser. Key responsibilities include;

  • Providing expert financial insight and analysis to support work on strategic service and financial plans, and support the Adult Social Care & Health Transformation Programme
  • Understanding cost drivers, risks and opportunities to generate ideas and create initiatives for Adult Social Care & Health Services, as well as providing challenge
  • Preparing budget monitoring reports in partnership with Directorate Management, for Members, Directors, and Management Teams
  • Managing and developing a team of 4, providing support and mentorship and instilling high quality customer service, financial and management practices

To be suitable for this role you need to be a fully qualified customer-focused finance professional with the ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders. You will have proven experience of developing a business partnering approach, ideally within an Adult Social Care context.

This position is able to work flexibly between the office and homeworking subject to the needs of the business and preference of the individual. Any journeys to the office would be at the employees own expense.
