Part Time Director of Finance

My client is a small but ambitious children’s charity. As they look to define their next 5 year strategic plan, they are also looking to review and transform their finance function to ensure it is able to deliver as a critical business partner to the organisation.

Key responsibilities & objectives:

• Acting as the most senior finance professional, responsible for overall financial management, business analysis and financial control of the charity.
• Transform finance into an outward facing business partner, providing critical financial information and insight to the business and board.
• Deliver a full cost recovery model.
• Invest in the development and culture of the finance team (people, systems and processes)

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a track record in the Charity sector. With strong presentation skills and outward facing mind set, you will be very comfortable communicating complex financial messages to the board.

This is a part time role for 3- 4 days a week. At present my client is operating a hybrid office/ home working model, with 1-3 days in the office per week.
