Salary: £300 - £340 per day
An interesting and challenging new role has arisen to lead the financial accounting team at an NHS organisation in London.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will be responsible for leading the financial services team in the production of the external reporting requirements including the annual statutory accounts. You will play the key role in managing third party service providers and in ensuring they interface well with the internal team. The post retains responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of financial controls. In addition the role includes the management of a small but capable team that would benefit from some nurturing and development.
The successful candidate should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of the NHS financial regime. In particular, you should have strong exposure to financial accounts and core financial processes. An important skill to demonstrate for this position is the management and development of a small team of people, so it follows that first rate communication skills are essential.
This role represents a great opportunity to utilise your existing skills to develop a team which, in turn, will be a significant benefit to the organisation as well.
