An excellent opportunity has arisen at a NHS Trust for an established financial transactions manager to join the finance department.

Reporting to a senior operational manager, you will be responsible for managing both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure delivery of an efficient payable and receivables service to the organisation.  The post leads the role in safeguarding the organisation’s payments process and procedures and ensuring that creditors are paid in line with agreed terms.  Additionally, you will play a key role in the agreement of balances exercise, but the key part of the role will be the day to day management of the teams.

You should be a part or fully qualified accountant, or equivalent, with significant experience of managing and developing accounts payable and accounts receivable teams.  Ideally you will also bring exposure to systems development and implementations. Strong staff management skills are essential, but more broadly, you will require excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills plus the ability to clearly present financial information in an appropriate way for the audience. Exposure to large, complex, public sector organisations will be helpful to this role as you will need to apply your strong skills in often complicated situations.

This is a great chance to join a determined and hard working team and to take on a challenging role at a well known organisation which will enhance your CV.
