Forum for the Future is a leading international sustainability non-profit, employing eighty people across our four locations in India, Singapore, the US and the UK. For 25 years we’ve been working in partnership with business, governments and civil society to accelerate transformation toward a just and regenerative future. Through our programmes we are actively catalysing change on key global challenges and building the capacity of individuals and organisations to act more systemically. At this critical moment in time, we are working with actors across all sectors to imagine a radically different future and understand their role in change.

We are looking for an inspirational, collaborative, values-led Head of Finance to deliver effective and enabling leadership of the finance function in support of the organisational strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on organisational financial planning and reporting including budgeting & forecasting processes, supporting the commercial viability of the organisation;
  • Working with the Chief Operating Officer and SMT on wider planning processes including strategic planning and development of the business model;
  • Leading on financial compliance globally and ensure it is completed in an accurate and timely manner, including statutory accounts, tax returns, and funder reporting;
  • Ensuring effective finance systems, processes, and policies are customer-centric and deliver the appropriate control. This includes across banking, payroll and insurance;
  • Leading the finance team including recruiting, directing, coaching and developing the finance staff to support and enable the rest of the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual. We are seeking a confident, dynamic and engaging individual with excellent communication skills. Just as critical for us are the personal qualities that enable effective working in a matrixed international structure: a collaborative approach, an inspirational leadership style, a commitment to equality and diversity and a commitment on both personal and organisational learning.

If you believe you have what it takes please submit your CV, with a supporting statement describing why you would be the best person to join this team and make Forum For the Future the best it can be.

For an informal conversation about the role, please contact our exclusive recruitment partner, Bryony Feeney, via the Allen Lane agency website. We are looking to move quickly with this process and as such, an early application is highly recommended.
