Financial Accountant (Year End)

My client is an important business partner to the UK’s heritage sector, providing key funding, leadership and advocacy. Never more needed by the organisations it supports, its role in supporting some of the UK’s best loved institutions, has been critical over the last 18 months.

With year-end fast approaching, my client is keen to secure some additional resource for the busy finance team. Reporting into the Head of Finance, key responsibilities will include:

• Support with the preparation of year end statutory accounts – financial reporting and analysis, trial balance, P&L and balance sheet.
• Working with finance colleagues on information required for internal and external stakeholder reporting.
• Responsible for preparing analysis to support the statutory disclosures.
• Handling external audit queries with auditors

The successful candidate will be fully qualified and have previously taken responsibility for the full year end process. Coming from a private or charity background, you will be very comfortable with statutory accounting and Excel.
