Financial Accounting Manager

Allen Lane are supporting a scientific / healthcare public body who are looking for a Financial Accounting Manager to join it’s finance function, and play a key role within the Finance team.

The Financial Accounting Manager will take the lead on ensuring the preparation of financial information for management accounting and statutory reporting purposes, including balance sheet, cash flow, capital expenditure, and managing the audit process.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Production of the Annual Financial Statements.
• Lead the audit process liaising with the External Auditors.
• Tax administration including creation of quarterly VAT returns and overseeing the annual tax returns.
• Supporting the delivery of Month-End.
• Responsible for balance sheet integrity.
• IFRS16 lead.
• Treasury management.

To be suitable for this role you need to be a fully qualified accountant, with strong technical accounting knowledge and previous experience dealing with external auditors. A background in audit would be highly desirable, as well as knowledge of SAP or similar accounting packages.
