At an exciting period of change and transformation, RSPCA are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead a reliable and responsive Financial Planning & Analysis function that provides the RSPCA with incisive, value-adding financial support and analysis which facilitates effective decision making

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the RSPCA’s annual budget process; providing strategic and long-term financial planning support to the Executive Leadership Team;
  • Developing the RSPCA’s performance measures; developing costing and pricing models in support of the strategy and transformation programmes;
  • Coordinating the production of the Monthly Management Information Pack  for distribution to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Trustees;
  • Leading continuous improvement in RSPCA’s budgeting, forecasting, planning and modelling capability;
  • Leading, motivating and developing a medium sized team.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated finance professional with strong people management and leadership skills, to lead a team of 4 Finance Business Partners and 4 Management Accountants to provide a high quality strategic business partnering service, underpinned by excellence in core financial reporting and planning activities. You will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial planning and reporting processes and maintaining consistent service levels. You will work with other members of the Finance team to implement appropriate technology solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of reporting and planning processes.

The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional from the Charity or Commercial sector. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also have highly developed analytical skills, and be able to provide value-added strategic decision support to your internal clients. You will be passionate about delivering best practice and growing a high performing team. You will also promote collaborative working across the Finance department to ensure high standards of service for our customers.
