Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum

In the UK today, 60% of adults with visible differences have experienced hostile behaviour from strangers and almost half of young people who have a visible difference are bullied at school.
Changing Faces is here for everyone with a scar, mark or condition on their face or body. We provide life-changing mental health, wellbeing and skin camouflage services. And we work to transform understanding and acceptance of visible difference, and campaign to reduce prejudice and discrimination.
We are looking for a Director of Finance and Resources to join our team at an exciting time. We have a new five-year strategy with two exciting and ambitious goals:
- By 2027, everyone across the UK with a visible difference or disfigurement will have access to the support they need
- By 2027 we will significantly increase everyone’s understanding and acceptance of visible difference and disfigurement, and reduce prejudice and discrimination
We are looking for someone with a strategic mindset, who will be a key member of the Leadership Team delivering these goals and will work collaboratively and flexibly across the whole organisation to help enable our success. The new Director of Finance and Resources will have responsibility for a high-quality finance and business support service including IT, HR, and facilities. We are a small organisation so you will need to be prepared to be operationally “hands-on”, and we are keen to continue the progress that the current Interim Director has made in improving systems to reduce manual processing.
Most of all we are looking for someone who cares deeply about what we do and the people we serve and will be driven, as we are, to radically change people’s lives for the better.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, and will need to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a leadership role;
- Experience in driving continuous improvement and managing change including the implementing of new systems;
- Proven ability to combine strategic thinking with an operational “hands-on” approach;
- Understanding and experience of strategic risk management, finance audit and internal controls

You will have a strong understanding of charity SORP and the ability to be flexible and agile in approach. This would be a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to step up into their first Director level role.
