This will include partnering with them to take the actions necessary to deliver the budget on target, as well as driving improvements in the financial performance of the business. Monthly you’ll gather financial and operational data from various sources and produce the month-end reporting packs which are key to interpreting the performance and partner with the site leads to take management actions based on the information. You will analyse and monitor financial information and produce variance analysis, budgeting and re-forecasting, as well as provide analysis to support business cases which drive the business forward.
You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with significant financial management exposure and proven experience of working across operational and corporate functions. Experience of managing month-end processes and being able to demonstrate examples of process improvement will be important as well. Time spent working in healthcare, or another highly complex industry, would be an advantage but strong communication skills are essential as you’ll need to rapidly develop effective working relationships in a fast paced environment.
This role offers a great chance to really get to understand a complex business area and use your experience to improve the process and commercial way that the new business will operate.
