Interim Senior Contracts Manager

A Local Authority in the South West are urgently looking to recruit an Interim Senior Contracts Manager – This role will be supporting securing a £45m Framework contract which will support the service area allowing them to work with various Suppliers through this Framework.

Housing/Construction experience desirable.

Role

• Responsible for leading and delivering contract management across Homes and Landlord Services.
• Delivery of a high-quality procurement and related commercial contract advice and support service, compliant with legislation, council policy, and objectives.
• Driving forward joined up and aligned procurement practice, commercial change, and improvement throughout the council to achieve better value for money and outcomes in line with the council’s commercial assurance framework.
• Delivery of the procurement strategy plan in a manner that supports and compliments the wider objectives of the council.
• Bringing in-depth market intelligence to influence annual spend across services in order to optimise competitive tension, leverage supplier relationships, and deliver a complex portfolio of tendering and commercial activity.
• To act as the primary point of contact for all internal & external contractual agreements and be the bridge between all homes and landlord services contracts. Accountable for developing appropriate governance and operational management systems.
