Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Allen Lane is delighted to be partnering a London based Russell Group University in the recruitment of an interim Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer you will provide leadership of a team responsible for financial strategy, planning, analysis and internal corporate reporting. This team provides the link between the finance business partnering and financial control functions and deputises for the Chief Finance Officer where required.

Key priorities during the contracted period include:

• Embedding a team newly appointed in to their current posts through a period of transition
• The development of a new financial strategy in conjunction with the new organisation strategic plan
• Leading on the implementation of zero based budgeting for the 23/24 budget and planning role
• Developing capital planning and reporting to meet the future needs of the organization.

This is a key post at a key time for an already large but rapidly expanding, complex, prestigious organization.

Prior experience within higher education whilst advantageous is not essential, nor is prior experience of the wider public sector. We are looking for experienced financial planning and analysis leaders that have been hands on in driving change to their function previously.
