Allen Lane is supporting a London Borough in their search for a permanent Platform Specialist, specifically focusing on Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), as the Council are in the process of Migrating 2500 users from on-prem SCCM to cloud based MECM.

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of MECM, Migration of all users, end user Devices and policies from SCCM, all End user Devices to be fully managed by MECM by Feb 2022 and Decommissioning of the on-prem SCCM system. There are short timescales for this project so an experienced MECM Specialist is required who has extensive experience in migrating End User Devices from SCCM to MECM.

The successful applicant will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and MECM technologies (SCCM, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager)
  • Using MECM for Windows 10 OS upgrades
  • Implementation, Configuring, and Administrating MECM
  • SCCM Migration to MECM
    • Transitions of End User Devices to MECM

    • Intune Connector for Active Directory

    • Device Collections and Azure AD Groups
    • Azure AD Enterprise Estate Roaming
    • Remote Control to provide remote user support
  • Production experience (circa 2000 plus users) in Office 365, Windows Servicer Technologies, Active Directory (AD), & Azure AD
  • Basic understanding of firewall and layer 3 networking.

Applicants should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire confidence in client teams and provide an efficient and client centred service.

You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills (verbal and written), and be able to communicate effectively with managers and employees across the Council, and with professional ICT practitioners and external agencies and suppliers.

The post holder will be able to work remotely in the main, with only occasional days spend in the office.
